Since 1987 the Geuzenpenning Foundation (Stichting Geuzenpenning) has awarded a Geuzen Medal every year as a tribute to individuals or institutions that have, in some special way, devoted themselves to fighting for democracy or against dictatorship, discrimination and racism.
